damning the rain

BY Andi K. Yuwono

my dear, i am damning the rain
yet again, for several times
and this time for the whole day; as it did to my life
should i say, never did i invite it to come
pouring tons of water onto lovely dry land
should i state over again; always i do not need it
as my time taken for a series of notes in my head
do i have to hate it, my love?
it may be essential to others - but remember, not for me
only the resentment that always appears when it presents
and again, i am damning the damningly rain, my dear
in this solitary dark evening
