Occupy Poetry

Serrated Naked

BY Saira Viola

Papier -Mache smile
It gleamed grey
Wobbling like a balancing water jug
On tribal nobility
The sweetened taste of Summer sings
But misery cuffs the sobriety of Winter's Ghost
For those entombed in concrete gloom
Sullen pockets of
graffiti angst
And weeded slabs of God
Which Offer text book hope
To Wrestle through another day
And smile your way to a Pauper's grave .
